Being off work for 2 weeks after Justin was born meant that I got to assume the position of “Lead night-shift captain” in the Republic Army of Justin’s Sleep Schedule. Sometimes Justin would not be sleeping, eating, or both simultaneously, and then he and I would hang out and have great conversations and debates about politics, religion, and the polar ice caps.

On December 29th, 2008, at 2:35pm EST, my second son Justin Parker took his first breath of air on earth. He weighed 6lbs, 15oz, and was 20″ tall. 10 fingers, 10 toes, and enough lung power to keep the entire county of San Diego running for 6 months.
